    Tips from a student perspective

    FVOEC student experience

    • This course is divided into three parts: strategic management, HRM (human resource management), and organization.
    • The strategic management part is application-oriented. Because the assigned reading can be extensive, follow the class closely and always compare supplementary summaries with the current material.
    • Preparing for the exercise session and solving the tasks in advance is, as always, the best approach. Everything discussed in the exercise is fully exam‑relevant and prepares you well.
    • In the HRM part, the reader and the Quizizz questions are your best friends. They prepare you very well and equip you with the knowledge needed for the exam.
    • In the organization part, the script is very important. Please note that everything in it is exam‑relevant and not everything is covered in the lectures. Treat the lectures as a summary of what you read in the script, so it is better to come prepared.
    • We recommend finishing each part as soon as you have covered it and then revisiting it once per week until the exam—the course is organized that way. This prevents having to cram right before the exam.
    • Go through the mock exam on your own at least once after studying. It gives you a good feel for what to expect on the exam.
